'It was a genuine human error': Actor Ram Charan issues apology to Jasprit Bumrah after making a massive blunder

Ram Charan recently found himself at the centre of social media attention after accidentally referring to Indian pace star Jasprit Bumrah as a footballer during a promotional event for his upcoming movie Peddi.

The incident occurred during the grand music launch event of the film in Bhopal, where Ram Charan attended alongside Janhvi Kapoor, A. R. Rahman and several other cast and crew members.

The actor later issued a public apology after the clip went viral across social media platforms.

Ram Charan apologises after calling Jasprit Bumrah a footballer

During an interaction with the media at the event, Ram Charan was asked to describe some of India’s iconic cricketers in a few words.

The actor called:

Sachin Tendulkar — “long legendary run”
MS Dhoni — “calm and cool”
Virat Kohli — “fire”
Rohit Sharma — “everybody’s man”

However, while speaking about Bumrah, Ram Charan mistakenly referred to the Indian fast bowler as a footballer, triggering a flood of memes and reactions online.

As the clip rapidly gained traction on social media, the actor later took to X to apologise for the mistake.
