How did PBKS fare last year?

PBKS had a remarkable campaign in the IPL 2025, making it one of their best performances in the tournament's history. Under the new captaincy of Shreyas Iyer and the guidance of coach Ricky Ponting, the team achieved a significant turnaround in their fortunes.

PBKS finished the league stage at the top of the points table, qualifying for the playoffs after a long wait. They progressed all the way to the Final of the tournament. Despite a valiant effort, they ultimately lost the championship match to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by a narrow margin of six runs, thus finishing the season as Runners-up.
