Former Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson on September 19 shared photos of a snake he found in his hotel room in Lucknow. Johnson asked his fans on Instagram the type of snake he found near his hotel room’s door.

“Anyone know what type of snake this is?? Just hanging out in my room door,” the left-arm pacer who is a part of India Capitals, posted on his Instagram.

“Found a better pic [sic] of this snakes head. Still unsure what it is exactly. Interesting stay so far in Lucknow, India” Johnson wrote in a following Instagram post.

Former South African pacer Vernon Philander and his former teammate Brett Lee reacted to the post as well. On the other hand, some fans helped Johnson identify the type of snake that he encountered in his hotel room.

So far, he has played one game in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2022. Bowling at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, he got the wicket of Gujarat Giants skipper Virender Sehwag with the new ball. In the three overs he bowled, he conceded 22 runs.

Earlier in the match, Johnson scored five runs from eight deliveries and shared an unbeaten 41-run partnership for the eight wicket with Ashley Nurse, who smashed 103 runs from just 43 deliveries including eight fours and nine sixes to help Capitals post 179/7.

Capitals will be seen in action again when they take on Irfan Pathan-led Bhilwara Kings at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on September 21.

So far, each team has played one match each. Jacques Kallis-led India Capitals are at the bottom of the table with a net run rate (NRR) of -0.693.
