Alex Carey becomes 4th wicketkeeper in Test cricket history to achieve this feat vs Sri Lanka: Check full list here

Alex Carey scripted history in the ongoing second Test of the series against Sri Lanka. Carey became the first Australian wicketkeeper to score 150 or more on Asian soil. 
 

Alex Carey is the fourth wicketkeeper-batter to score  150 against Sri Lanka. Carey scored 156 runs from 188 balls. His knock was laced with 15 fours and a couple of sixes. Other wicketkeeper-batters to score 150 or more against Sri Lanka.
 

3. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal scored an nunbeaten 158 from 184 balls against Sri Lanka in Karachi in 2009. Akmal hit eight fours and five sixes in the innings. The Test ended in a draw. 
 

2. England's wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow has scored an unbeaten 167 against Sri Lanka at the Lord's in 2016. Bairstow played 251 balls and hit 18 fours in his knock. The Test ended in a draw.
 

1. Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim is the only wicketkeeper-batter to score a Test double century against Sri Lanka. Rahim scored 200 runs from 321 balls including 22 fours and a six. This Test ended in a draw as well.
 

Before Carey, it was Adam Gilchrist who held the record for highest score by an Australian wicketkeeper-batter in Asia. Gilchrist scored 144 runs from 252 balls including 19 fours and three sixes in 2004.
 

Carey and Smith also shared the highest fourth-wicket partnership by a visiting team in Sri Lanka. They shared a 259-run partnership. The highest fourth-wicket partnership against Sri Lanka belongs to Australia as well. Joe Burns and Travis Head shared a 308-run partnership in Canberra.
