2025 IPL auction heats up; BCCI brings in three top players just before the hammer

Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction is set to take place  in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25 this is the second consecutive time that the auction will take place outside India. England speedster Jofra Archer whose name was missing from the  list sent to the franchises made himself available for the auction. Apart from Archer, India-based USA cricketer Saurabh Netravalkar and Mumbai's Hardik Tamore has also been added to the auction list. 

While the IPL governing body and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are yet to officially confirm the news,  As Per sources close to Sports Tak, Archer has been included in the pool and the franchises will be interested to see the set which features the England pacer. Archer has set himself a base price of Rs 2 crore.

Apart from Archer, Netravalkar and Mumbai's Tamore will enter the auction with a base price of 30 lakh each. 

Jofra Archer

To form a deadly combination with Jasprit Bumrah for Mumbai Indians, his team included Jofra Archer. After being sold in the IPL 2022 auction, Archer just able to pick only two wickets in 5 matches for Mumbai in the 2023 IPL season. While he was away from the IPL 2024 season. Archer has 48 wickets in 40 IPL matches and now any franchise can include him in their camp.

Saurabh Netravalkar

Indian-origin American fast bowler Saurabh Netravalkar, who created a stir with his fast bowling in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 earlier this year, can now make his dream of playing IPL come true. Saurabh gave America a historic victory with his strong bowling in the super over against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024. Which forced the last edition finalist Pakistan to be eliminated from the group stage. Now Netravalkar will enter the auction with a base price of 30 lakhs and any franchise can include him in their team.

Hardik Tamore

Hardik Tamore, who has created a stir with the bat in domestic cricket for Mumbai, has been included in the auction list as the last player. He has been shortlisted as the 577th player. Hardik Tamore has so far scored 763 runs in 21 first-class matches and 207 runs in 13 List-A matches, while he has only 65 runs in 10 T20 matches.
