After ODI series loss against Sri Lanka, here is Rohit Sharma-led India's Test schedule till Champions Trophy 2025

After Sri Lanka series, team India will now face Bangladesh for the upcoming Test series which will be played on Indian soil.

Highlights:

Team India will feature against Bangladesh.

India will play a five-match Test series against Australia.

India have lost the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma & Co. are currently on a break from cricket and after this break, Men in Blue will feature for the home Test series against Sri Lanka before the Australia tour and these Test matches will be important for India considering World Test Championship final which will take place in 2025 next year. Here are the list of Test matches India will play before the WTC final next year.

 

India vs Bangladesh

 

India will start their red ball campaign against Bangladesh which will take place in September. The first Test match will be played in Chennai. After this, the second Test match will be held in Kanpur from September 27. Team India will want to maintain the first position in the WTC points table by winning both matches.


India vs New Zealand

 

After Bangladesh, Team India will play a three-match Test series against New Zealand on home soil. India will play the first Test match against New Zealand from October 16 at the Bengaluru ground. After this, the second Test match will be played in Pune from October 24, while the final Test match will be played in Pune, Mumbai from November 1.

5-match Test series will be held in Australia

 

After overcoming Bangladesh and New Zealand, Team India will go on its Australia tour. The result of the five-Test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy) on Australian soil will largely depend on India's entry into the WTC final. Team India will play the first match of this series in Perth from November 22, the second Test in Adelaide from December 6, the third Test in Brisbane from December 14, the fourth Test in Melbourne from December 26 and the final Test match in Sydney from January 3. After this Test series, Team India will again start preparing for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
