Legendary singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri died at the age of 69 in Mumbai on Wednesday (Friday 16), at a Mumbai hospital, due to multiple health issues. The veteran singer was being treated for various illnesses and he was tested positive for the Covid-19 virus in April last year.

Lahiri, who is known for his disco music, had a huge fan following and a surprising fact is that the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar’s name also appears in the list of Bappi Lahiri’s fans and followers.
In the film ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’, made on Sachin Tendulkar, Sachin had revealed that whenever he was tense and nervous on the field, he always used to listen to Bappi Lahiri's song 'Yaad Aa Raha Hai'.
In such a situation, when Bappi Lahiri was asked to speak on this matter, he said that he is a fan of Sachin as well. During an interview, Bappi Lahiri had said that he loves Sachin Tendulkar.
Bappi Lahiri had further said that he is a cricket fan and he liked the game of cricket since his childhood. Lahiri also expressed that Sachin is the god of cricket and if he has appreciated his song then he is very happy.

Bappi Lahiri popular for his hit songs was also famous for his love for gold jewelerry. His last Bollywood song was 'Bhankas' for the 2020 Bollywood film 'Baaghi 3', featuring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor.
