Sooryavanshi to face sanctions?
With India A requiring 14 runs from the last three balls of the Super Over, Sooryavanshi was left with an impossible task amid almost bad lighting. As expected, the left-handed opener could not pull off the chase, and after the game ended, a few Sri Lankan players exchanged words with him.

The situation got tense when Suryansh Shedge responded to the celebrations, which resulted into a heated exchange with the young opener becoming the central figure of the fiasco.
In an interaction with Sportstar, Devajit Saikia revealed that the board will not do anything which leads to disturbance in players' focus on the tournament. “We will let our players concentrate on the tournament, and they should not be distracted by any collateral issues," said Saikia.
Big step from Sri Lanka
According to a latest report by Cricbuzz, match referee Pradeep Jeyapragash has slapped sanctions on the players, with Vishen Halambage being the central figure among the recipients of the punishment.
Notably, a fine was imposed on Niroshan Dickwella as well, who turned out to be the peace-maker in the face-off between Halambage and Sooryavanshi. However, it has been claimed that the sanction Dickwell was imposed for a separate offence has no relation with the altercation. Interestingly, the exact type of breach committed by Dickwella has not been clarified.
