Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan mercilessly trolled for his social media post about the weather in the ongoing Namibia vs England T20 World Cup 2024 clash. The toss in the ongoing match between defending champions and Namibia has been delayed due to rain and a wet outfield.
Vaughan took his 'X' formerly known as Twitter to post for the Antigua weather
Vaughan's post for Namibia vs Scotland T20 World Cup 2024
Soon after his post for the World Cup, the fans started trolling him. Here are the viral reactions.
This is a do-or-die clash for England and if the match gets washed out then they will be out of the tournament. India, West Indies, Afghanistan, Australia, United States and South Africa have already booked their berth in the Super 8 of the marquee event.
Can England still qualify for Super 8 if rain causes a washout?
Three matches have already been abandoned due to rain as well. However, if a similar sight is witnessed during today's game and the match can't proceed and there's no result. Then both the England and Namibia will have to share a point in case of a potential washout. However, this will send Scotland straight away to the Super 8 stage and end England's chances to reach the next round. As SCO already have five points, even a washout point will not raise England's tally to a total of five points. They can only reach five points at best if everything goes their way, so they will be praying the rain gods to let the match proceed without any disruption.
