Bangladesh veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has cleared the suspect bowling action after suffering for a long time. The 37-year-old star was last featured in the two-Test match series against India in October at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. After that Test, he announced his retirement from the T20Is and Tests.
The veteran star was supposed to feature for Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but he was excluded as the selectors didn't want to pick him as a specialist batter. Bowling action suspension means that he couldn't be part of the ICC event which he had earmarked as a farewell tournament in international cricket.
"The news is right (passing about the bowling test) and I am cleared to bowl again," Shakib said as per cricuzz.
