Australia's legendary captain Steve Waugh said India's Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma will take a decision whether he has to retire or not but he can't afford to be 'complacement or relax'. Waugh wants Rohit to ask himself whether he wants to remain committed to serving the country.
"It is totally up to him," Waugh told PTI weeks ahead of India's tour of England. "He is the only one who can solve that problem. He has got to look himself in the mirror and say, do I still want to be captain or play for India? Am I committed? "Am I putting enough time and effort into it? It is a privilege and an honour to play for your country. You can't be complacent or relax."
Rohit will turn 38 on April 30. He has not been in best of forms in red-ball cricket. In the Sydney Test, he benched himself for better team combination. However, Rohit remains committed to Test cricket and clarified that he is not retiring from any of the two formats he is currently playing.
