ICC announces maiden women's FTP; rescheduled Asia Cup in October 2022, Australia to play Test in India after 1984

The International Cricket Council has announced the 2022-25 women's FTP cycle. In the maiden women's FTP, India are scheduled to play two Tests at home. Also, the resumption of Asia Cup has been announced which is likely to take place in the first half of October 2022 whereas the venue is yet to be finalised.
 

The frequency of Test cricket can be understood from the fact that Australia will visit India for a Test match after 1984. Also, England's last Test in India was in 2005. These two Tests against England and Australia will be played in December 2023 and January 2024 respectively.
 

Busy period
During the 2023-24 period, India have a total of four home series. A total of 23 international games will be played in the season. First, South Africa will tour India for three ODIs and three T20Is in 2023. Then, New Zealand will come to India in October for three ODIs and three T20Is as well. Later in 2023, England will visit India for a Test and three T20Is in December. In the same month, Australia will tour India for one Test, three ODIs and three T20Is, which will go on till January 2024.
 

World Cup and IPL
Earlier in 2023, South Africa will host the T20 World Cup. During March to May period, the inaugural women's Indian Premier League (IPL) can take place.
 

Before the T20 World Cup, India will tour England for three ODIs and three T20Is in September. Indian team will come back home for five-T20I series against Australia. 
 

Lacklustre 2024
In 2024, there is not much international cricket for India. Australia will host India for three ODIs. Next, they will host West Indies three ODIs and three T20Is in December 24.
 

Before the ODI World Cup in April 2025 at home, India will host Ireland for three ODIs and three T20Is. In total, India will play 27 ODIs, 36 T20Is and two Tests which will be part of home and away series.
