South African captain Laura Wolvaardt has regained the top spot in the ICC Women's ODI Player Rankings. Wolvaardt's consistent performances, including an unbeaten 59 in the series opener against England, rocketed her to the top of the standings. Meanwhile, Indian cricketers including Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana have seen a certain drop in their rankings.

Laura Wovaardt becomes World no.1 batter

Wolvaardt's surge in ODI batters' rankings ended Nat Sciver-Brunt's six-month reign. Sciver-Brunt has slipped to third place, behind Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu.  South Africa's Chloe Tryon has also made significant progress, rising eight places to joint 17th with Australia's Ashleigh Gardner. Meanwhile, Australia's Ellyse Perry has climbed two places to fourth, her highest ranking in three and a half years, following a century against India.

Other notable advancements include Phoebe Litchfield and Tahlia McGrath, who have moved up 13 and five places to 25th and 32nd, respectively. Georgia Voll has made her debut in the rankings at 84th position after a strong start to her international career.

Harmanpreet Kaur out of top 10

The Indian women's cricket team's recent ODI series loss to Australia has resulted in a big drop in the ICC rankings for several key players. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur has slipped out of the top 10 in the batting rankings, while star players Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma have also experienced a decline. Mandhana's two single-digit scores against Australia led to a drop to the fifth position in the ODI batting rankings. While, Harmanpreet slipped to 11th spot from ninth.  In the bowling rankings, English spinner Sophie Ecclestone maintained her top position, while Indian star Deepti Sharma dropped one place to third. Australian bowler Megan Schutt's impressive five-wicket haul in the first ODI against India propelled her to the second position.

Mega Schutt climbs 2 places in bowlers' rankings

As far as ODI's bowling rankings are concerned, Megan Schutt has taken a leap of two places and secured second spot, while Sophie Ecclestone maintained her stay at summit. Marizanne Kapp has jumped from ninth to sixth in the bowlers' rankings and continues to lead the all-rounders' rankings. Charlie Dean has moved up one place to ninth in the bowlers' rankings and another spot to tenth among all-rounders.

Meanwhile, Kim Garth's economical bowling performance in the first two ODIs against India has propelled her into the top 20 bowlers for the first time, climbing seven places to 16th. Annabel Sutherland has also made some progress, rising 23 places to 24th in the bowlers' rankings and five places to 12th in the all-rounders' rankings.
