Achilles injury keeps Hazlewood out of action
Though Hazlewood was expected to return to the team for the second Test in Brisbane, he was eventually ruled out due to an achilles issue. The injury kept him out of the remainder of the series against England and he continued with the rehabilitation process. The pacer will now be aiming to make his international return in the 2026 T20 World Cup that will commence from February 7. He has been named in Australia's provisional squad for the mega tournament despite injury concerns.

Meanwhile, Hazlewood will massively strengthen the Sixers' bowling attack as he joins them for the remainder of the season. The team is currently fourth on the BBL standings with six points from as many games. It remains to be seen if they will go on to make the playoffs or not.
