This is maiden first-class triple ton.

Ahead of the eagerly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, Rajasthan batsman Mahipal Lomror attracted attention with an outstanding batting performance. On Thursday, November 14, Lomror crushed his first triple century in the current Ranji Trophy Group B match against Uttarakhand.

At the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand are presently playing a Group B match. The squad captained by Deepak Hooda declared their first innings at a colossal 660/7 in 145.4 overs. With 25 fours and 13 sixes, Lomror reached 300 runs off 360 balls and remained not out.

Lomror's maiden first-class triple ton

When Rajasthan lost their first wicket at 23, Lomror entered the crease. On the second day of the game, the left-handed batter reached his first triple century. Along with Karthik Sharma, who struck 113, he established a 177-run partnership for the fifth wicket. After that, the southpaw and Bharat Sharma contributed 116 runs. In his first-class career, Mahipal Lomror has never achieved a triple century. After Aakash Chopra, who struck 301* against Maharashtra, he is now just the second batter from Rajasthan to reach a triple century.

In the current Ranji Trophy, Mahipal Lomror has amassed two straight hundreds, including a 111-run thumping innings against Hyderabad in his last game. In five games, he has amassed more than 500 runs. In his first match, he scored three runs and ten runs; in his second, he scored 99 runs; and in his third, he scored six runs. In 2016, the 24-year-old cricket player made his first appearance in the first division. In 54 games and 84 innings, he has amassed almost 3,300 runs at an average of over 40. The youthful hitter has amassed 16 half-centuries and 8 hundreds.

RCB can still use RTM for Lomror

During his knock in the current match, Mahipal Lomror displayed a combination of accuracy and aggression when playing shots. Ahead of the mega auction, the young player appears to be making a strong statement to IPL teams. He has the potential to develop into a dependable middle-order batsman who can also help with the ball. The timing of Lomror's performance is ideal as IPL teams get ready to reassemble their teams for the forthcoming campaign. Saudi Arabia will host the IPL 2025 super auction on November 24 and 25. Lomror may get bids because IPL scouts and analysts keep a close eye on player performances.

Last season, the 24-year-old left-hander was a member of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). In order to keep him, RCB may choose to use the Right to Match (RTM) card in the next auction. In 40 games, the batter has amassed 527 runs at an average of 18.17 and a strike rate of 141.29; his highest total was 54.
