India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah his missed the third T20I against South Africa as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side added Harshit Rana in the playing XI in place of the legendary speedster. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and T20I skipper revealed that Bumrah has returned home due to some personal reasons.
However, Bumrah was reportedly forced to fly back home because a very close family member of the bowler is currently hospitalised, and if all goes well, then he might return for the fourth or even fifth game (in Ahmedabad).
"If all goes well, then he might return for the fourth or even fifth game (in Ahmedabad). But first priority is recovery of his family member" reported PTI.
Apart from Bumrah, Axar Patel also missed out on the third T20I, and the team added Kuldeep Yadav in his place. The spin-rounder was unable to feature because he was unwell.
However, India defeated South Africa by seven wickets to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series and the fourth clash will take place on December 17 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
