The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is set to be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This marks the second consecutive year the auction will take place outside India, following the 2024 edition, which was hosted in Dubai.
Interestingly, the auction dates overlap with the third and fourth days of the opening Test between India and Australia, scheduled to be played in Perth.
For the IPL 2025 mega auction, an initial pool of 1,574 players was narrowed down to 574. The final list includes 366 Indian players, 208 overseas players, and three players from associate nations. A total of 204 spots are available in the IPL 2025 auction, including 70 slots for overseas players. The highest reserve price is set at ₹2 crore, with 81 players choosing to place themselves in this top bracket.
