Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad won't be able to retain players at Rs 2 crore.

Washington Sundar is set to start a massive bidding war as SRH will not be able to use RTM card for him.

Indian Premier League (IPL) on October 5 announced that a total of 1,574 players have registered for the mega auction which will take place on November 24, 25. 23 Indian players have opted for the highest base price of Rs 2 crore ahead of the auction. The long list includes three captains who left or did not get retained by their franchises. 

Here is the full list of Indian players with Rs 2 crore base price -

Rishabh Pant (DC), KL Rahul (LSG), Shreyas Iyer (KKR), Ravichandran Ashwin (RR), Yuzvendra Chahal (RR), Mohammed Shami (GT), Khaleel Ahmed (DC), Deepak Chahar (CSK), Venkatesh Iyer (KKR), Avesh Khan (LSG), Ishan Kishan (MI), Mukesh Kumar (DC), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (SRH), Prasidh Krishna (RR), T Natarajan (SRH), Devdutt Padikkal (LSG), Krunal Pandya (LSG), Harshal Patel (PBKS), Arshdeep Singh (PBKS), Washington Sundar (SRH), Shardul Thakur (CSK, Mohammed Siraj (RCB) and Umesh Yadav (GT).

Indian players expected to go for big bucks -

Former Delhi Capitals captain Pant will be a hot property in the auction. Similarly, former LSG captain KL Rahul and IPL 2024-winning captain Shreyas Iyer are set to go for big bucks with various franchises interested in him. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are set to go all guns blazing for these three stars.

Players who can get retained via RTM

A few of these players may be on the franchises' list to rope in via Right to Match (RTM) card. Mumbai Indians (MI) may go for Ishan Kishan. Similarly, CSK may save RTM card for Deepak Chahar or Shardul Thakur. RCB have a few RTM cards available and may exercise it to retained Mohammed Siraj. It will be interesting to see if Gujarat Titans (GT) retain Mohammed Shami or David Miller via RTM. LSG have an option of retaining Krunal Pandya or Devdutt Padikkal whereas PBKS can go for Harshal Patel or Arshdeep Singh.

KKR and Rajasthan Royals don't have an option to retain any player via RTM card. Also, SRH can only retain an uncapped player via RTM. In this case, players like Ashwin, Chahal, Bhuvneshwar, T Natarajan and Washington Sundar can start a bidding war.
