In a post-match interview, Ziko stated:
“The referee is unfair, God is sufficient for me and the best disposer of affairs. He's wasting the effort of an entire nation.”
Ziko added:
“The cup is being given to Argentina. They win the World Cup.”
Ziko further said:
“CONGRATS ARGENTINA FOR THIS WORLD CUP, THE GAME IS RIGGED.”
Egypt held a two-goal advantage before conceding three late goals in a dramatic collapse against the defending champions. The result has triggered heated debate on social media, with some supporters echoing claims of officiating favouritism towards Argentina, while others point to Egypt's defensive lapse as the primary factor.
