Uruguay dominated much of the second half and equalized late through Maxi Araújo in the 80th minute after falling behind to Abdulelah Al-Amri's first-half header. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Mohammed Al-Owais was the standout performer as well, making a tournament-record nine saves to keep the Green Falcons level despite Uruguay's pressure and 27 shots.
