Barcelona managed to secure a late comeback against Newcastle United to clinch a 1-1 draw in the first leg of UEFA Champions League Round of 16, on Wednesday, March 11.

Hansi Flick opens up on Pedri and Bernal's substitution
After the game, Hansi Flick opened up on the substitution of midfielders Pedri and Merc Bernal, saying that both of the players returned from a long injury and it was important to manage the game time of such key players.
He also admitted that Barca needs to improve their game and secure a great win in the second leg of the fixture. He also ensured that everyone will see a different kind of Barcelona in the second leg.
“We’ve had a lot of matches. Pedri was coming back, Bernal was also returning from a long injury... we have to improve. We have to keep playing and the positive thing is the result. After being down by a goal, it was fantastic to get this draw. We’re sure to see a different kind of Barça game at the Camp Nou.”
Barcelona will now face Sevilla in a LaLiga game on Sunday before having Newcastle United at Camp Nou for the second leg.
