West Ham's Lucas Paqueta gave an unlikely lead just six minutes in, but Enzo Maresca's side showed their determination as they scored three goals win the first half. Caicedo scored Chelsea's fourth goal in the 59th minute with a volley after Hammers goalkeeper Mads Hemansen flopped at an Enzo Fernandez corner.

After scoring the goal, Caicedo also produced an outstanding performance. He was a star in midfield, winning three tackles and produced a key interception to prevent a West Ham goal at 5-1.

After the game, the Ecuadorian shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, where he expressed gratitude with fans and teammates. He posted a heartfelt message that read:

“Special win and special goal in my match with this shirt. Thank you God for everything ”

Moises Caicedo signed for Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023 and coincidently made his debut for the blues in a match against West Ham in 2023.

Since making his debut, he has always been an ever-present player for the club. He was the only Chelsea player to start all 38 Premier League matches last season. While yesterday's game was Caicedo's 100th appearance across all competitions.
