While teams like Chelsea and Real Madrid have been introducing new managers to the club, there are managers whose departure announcements have affected the fans deeply. While the Manchester City fans were coping with the fact that they will have to be without Pep Guardiola from the upcoming season, Antonio Conte has informed Napoli that he will leave the club at the end of the 2025-26 season, bringing an end to his tenure after two campaigns.

The Italian coach delivered the news to president Aurelio De Laurentiis during a meeting in mid-April, with both parties agreeing to a mutual and amicable separation, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Conte will forgo any exit fee, severance pay, or remaining contractual obligations that run until June 2027.

No agreement with a new club has been reached as yet. The decision marks the conclusion of a short but impactful spell at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Since arriving in 2024, Conte guided Napoli to the Serie A title in his debut season, the club’s fourth Scudetto, before securing a second-place finish this term and qualification for the Champions League. His departure comes after consistent success but amid reported differences in long-term vision with the club hierarchy.
