The Belgian goalkeeper has taken a significant step into football ownership by becoming a minority shareholder in Le Mans FC, a club currently competing in Ligue 2, France's second tier. This isn't Courtois's first venture into club investment; he previously had involvement with Internacional de Madrid via Dux Gaming, though that project faced challenges.
The move positions him alongside an impressive lineup of celebrity and sports investors like Tennis legend and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, former Formula 1 drivers Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen.
The majority stake in Le Mans FC is now held by the Brazilian investment consortium Outfield, which strengthened its control through a recent restructuring, having initially entered as a minority investor in the summer of 2025. Club president Thierry Gomez remains involved as a shareholder and continues in his leadership role.
