As of now, WWE has not issued a public response to any of the claims made by the Queen of the Ring.

Queen of the Ring debuted on the film festival circuit in 2024 and received a limited theatrical release on March 7.

The creators behind Queen of the Ring, a biopic chronicling the life and legacy of wrestling pioneer Mildred Burke, have alleged that WWE attempted to hinder the film’s promotion during Monday Night RAW. The accusations surfaced in a now-deleted post on the movie’s official Twitter/X account, which labeled the project as “The movie the WWE doesn’t want you to see.”

Allegations of Interference Spark Online Debate

In response to the claims, one viewer chimed in with skepticism, saying, “Saw it, enjoyed it. No idea why WWE wouldn’t want to have seen it. Click bait.”

The Queen of the Ring account didn’t back down, instead doubling down on the allegations by replying:

“You should ask them why they tried to block us from running TV ads during Raw (illegal), why they asked us to sponsor their events, we agreed to the financial deal then they pulled us out last minute… this is just a glimpse into the sabotaging behavior.. perhaps we will expand on the intel.”

Film Says Ads Eventually Aired as Planned

Despite the initial pushback, the team behind Queen of the Ring confirmed that their advertisements eventually did make it onto WWE programming. However, they continued to imply that there was more to the story yet to be revealed.

“We said they tried to, they obviously didn’t succeed because we got the ads to run. We will reveal the full story soon. And then all will be understood,” the account added.

 WWE Yet to Address Accusations

As of now, WWE has not issued a public response to any of the claims made by the Queen of the Ring team. The wrestling giant remains silent on the matter, leaving fans and industry insiders to speculate about what may have happened behind the scenes.

A Film Featuring Faces from AEW and WWE

Queen of the Ring debuted on the film festival circuit in 2024 and received a limited theatrical release on March 7. It is currently available for purchase or rental on various digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video.

The film stars Emily Bett Rickards in the lead role and includes appearances from current AEW talents Kamille and Toni Storm, as well as WWE’s Naomi. It serves as a cinematic tribute to Mildred Burke, a trailblazer who helped shape women’s professional wrestling.
