Sacramento Kings Injury Report: The latest health update on DeMar DeRozan, will he start against Play-In clash against Dallas Mavericks?

The Dallas Mavericks will take on Sacramento Kings as part of Play-In tournament on Wednesday, April 16 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. All eyes would be on DeMar DeRozan, whether he features against Dallas Mavericks or not. 

Will DeMar DeRozan play against Dallas Mavericks?

The 35-year-old power forward will be available to play against Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday as his name is not listed on the team's injury report ahead of the do or die clash. 

Apart from Keon Ellis, no player has played more matches than DeMar DeRozan during the ongoing 2024-25 NBA season. He has played a total of 77 games as he averages 22.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. He missed five games during the month of November. 

DeRozan left the match midway against Phoenix Suns on November 13 as he suffered lower back tightness. He then went on to miss three games as he required surgery to get his latest injury treated. He made a return to the lineup but was soon diagnosed with lower back muscle inflammation. This time, he went on to miss two games as in his absence, the team had a 2-3 losing record. 

However, since then, he has not missed games as he felt no discomfort in his back. The fans can expect the Kings' star to be at full strength ahead of the Dallas Mavericks clash. DeRozan has played impressively this season against the Mavericks. In the three games that he has played against them, he averages 25.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists and his season's best performance came on February 10 with 42 points to his name. 

The Sacramento Kings will miss the services of Malik Monk (Calf) and Jake LaRavia (Thumb). The Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings have played a total of three games so far this season and all those games were won by the Kings. Both the teams have played 186 games in the regular season as Kings have won 83 and Mavericks have 103 wins to their name.
