While chasing a modest target of 151 runs in the second innings, Australia's star wicketkeeper batter Beth Mooney played a match-winning knock of 64 runs of 49 deliveries to seal the title for the Aussies.'

The fantastic half-century from Mooney in the summit clash against England on Sunday, helped her surpass Virat Kohli in a major record. After scoring 64 runs in the final game, Mooney became the first batter in the world to record three half-centuries in the final of an ICC T20 World Cup (men's and women's combined).

Beth Mooney's dominating record in T20 World Cup finals
Before her 64-run knock against England on Sunday, Mooney had already scored two big scores in Women's T20 World Cup finals. She scored an unbeaten 78 against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2020 final, before scoring another match-winning knock of 74 runs against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town on February 26, 2023.
Currently, no player other than Beth Mooney has scored the most number of half-centuries in a Women's T20 World Cup final.
