India captain Rohit Sharma and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector picked a 15-member India squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start from February 19. India wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson who is currently in the form of his life has missed the spot from the squad as the selectors picked Rishabh Pant for the wicketkeeping role in the mega event.
Soon after the squad announcement, Samson's fans took their social media to slam the Indian Cricket Board for picking Pant over Samson in the mega event. Here are the reactions.

Samson has played 16 ODIs scoring 510 runs with a highest score of 108 runs at an average of 56.66. His last ODI outing came on December 21 against South Africa at Paarl Stadium where he scored 108 runs. The wicketkeeper batter was recently promoted as an opener where he smashed three tons in his last five T20Is.
Samson who was the part of Rohit Sharma-led T20 World Cup 2024 squad will now be seen in action in the five-match T20I series against England which will start from January 22
Team India will start their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on February 20. Rohit Sharma-led side will play all their Champions Trophy matches in Dubai. Apart from India matches, Dubai will host one of the semifinals and the venue for the final also depends on India's chances. Dubai will host the title decider if India manages to qualify otherwise, the final will take place in Lahore.
