The Indian team has been in exceptional form, securing victories in all six of their group-stage matches in the World Cup 2023.
They initiated their campaign with a convincing six-wicket win over Australia and continued their winning streak by defeating Afghanistan by 8 wickets. Subsequently, they outclassed arch-rivals Pakistan with a 7-wicket win, followed by victories over Bangladesh and New Zealand by 7 wickets and 4 wickets, respectively.
In their latest encounter, the Indian bowlers successfully defended a modest total, securing a commanding 100-run victory over England.
Injury-hit Sri Lanka have struggled to main any sort of consistency and, as a result, the Islanders have won just two of their six matches played in the competition so far.
