Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis won the all-important toss and elected to field against India in the ODI World Cup match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 2 (Thursday). Sri Lanka made one change to their playing XI with Dushan Hemantha replacing Dhananjaya de Silva. India went in with the same playing XI that featured in their last match against England.

In their latest encounter, the Indian bowlers successfully defended a modest total, securing a commanding 100-run victory over England.
Injury-hit Sri Lanka have struggled to main any sort of consistency and, as a result, the Islanders have won just two of their six matches played in the competition so far.
