Jude Bellingham has matched the impressive scoring debut of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid, further proving the club's foresight in acquiring more than just a budding midfielder this summer.
The young English player has scored 10 goals in his first 10 games, a feat reminiscent of Ronaldo's start after his 2009 move from Manchester United. Reflecting on his performance, Bellingham remarked, “I'm a confident guy, but I didn't expect such a good start. At this stage of the season you can't ask for more." At just 20, Bellingham is not only stepping into the significant role left by Luka Modric but is also helping the team transition from the departure of Karim Benzema, especially with the ongoing chase for Kylian Mbappe.

Dani Carvajal, who assisted Bellingham's first goal, praised the young talent, saying, “He puts on his Superman cape in nearly every game."
By choosing to wear Zinedine Zidane's No. 5 jersey at Madrid, Bellingham signalled his readiness to meet high expectations. However, his scoring prowess has surpassed even the most optimistic predictions, especially given the team's anticipated challenges after Benzema's exit.
Currently, Bellingham is the top scorer in the league with eight goals and has found the net in six out of eight league matches. He's also made his mark in Madrid's Champions League fixtures, including a recent victory against Napoli.
Madrid's coach, Carlo Ancelotti, expressed his astonishment, stating, “His start to the season has been a surprise in every aspect. Nobody expected him to score like this.”
Bellingham's move from Borussia Dortmund, where he netted 14 goals in 42 matches the previous season, to Madrid has seen him rapidly ascend to a leadership role within the team. His dynamic play was evident in the recent match against Osasuna, where he scored twice, and Vinícius Júnior and Joselu Mato added to the tally, sealing a 4-0 victory.
