Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 bound Indian cricket team are currently in Australia to prepare for the upcoming five-Test match series scheduled to start from November 22. Team India are currently practising at WACA stadium in Perth to get familiar with the Australian conditions before the opening Test.
Mumbai-based batter Sarfaraz Khan who is touring with the Indian cricket team for the first time was seen leaving the nets during India's practice session after getting an elbow injury. A clip is going viral on social media where Sarfaraz Khan can be seen leaving the field. Here is the video.
Earlier, the West Australian revealed that Sarfaraz Khan was seen struggling on Australian soil.
"Sarfaraz Khan looked every bit the batter who hasn’t played outside of the subcontinent. He was caught on the crease fending shortballs and chopping balls outside his off stump onto the wickets" posted the West Australian.
Sarfaraz who made his Test debut on February 15 recently smashed 150 runs during India vs New Zealand Test series. He played six Test matches for India scoring 371 runs with a highest score of at an average of 37.10.
Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 schedule
The opening Test match of the series between Australia and India will kick off in Perth, running from November 22 to 26. The teams will then move to Adelaide Oval for the second Test, a Day/Night game scheduled for December 6 to 10. Following that, the third Test is set for The Gabba in Brisbane, from December 14 to 18. The fourth match will be hosted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30, and the series will conclude with the fifth and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, held from January 3 to 7.
