Australia skipper Pat Cummins rubbed salt in the wound of Indian cricket fans as he recently shared his favourite memory from India on Instagram. Currently, Cummins is leading Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League 2024.

Pat Cummins invited his fans to ask questions on Instagram and he responded to them. During this session, one of the fans asked him about his favourite memory in India. Then, Cummins shared the photo of the Australian team celebrating their ODI World Cup 2023 win over India in the final match last year. Notably, Australia secured their sixth World Cup title with a convincing six-wicket win over India at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Cummins played a crucial role in leading his team to victory, even dismissing India's star batter Virat Kohli, which silenced the home crowd.

Cummins' revelation stirred reactions among fans on social media. Cummins also shared that his favourite Indian food is Pav Bhaji during an Instagram ‘question and answer’ session.

Talking about the IPL 2024 session, he's been making waves as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad as he led the team to three wins out of five matches so far. In their last match, SRH defeated PBKS by two runs. After the win over PBKS, Cummins said that it was a great game. He also lavished praise on his team’s performance and highlighted the ‘Impact Player’ rule’s impact on deepening their batting lineup.

"If you get 150-160, you are going to lose nine out of ten games anyway. We knew the new ball was going to be a key time. We were pretty happy (with our score). We saw what happened with the new ball for them, so thought if me and Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) could start off with a wicket of wickets, it would be good. We have plenty of left-armers and right-armers, so just trying to give the bowlers the best chance of success," Cummins said.

Notably, SRH will face Faf-du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on April 15.
