MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are all set to take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Chepauk on Wednesday (April 12). Yet again in the clash of former champions all focus will be on the legendary Dhoni who will mark his 200th match as skipper of the Yellow Army as it's been 15 good years since the talismanic wicketkeeper-batter has been serving the CSK.

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are all set to take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Chepauk on Wednesday (April 12). Yet again in the clash of former champions all focus will be on the legendary Dhoni who will mark his 200th match as skipper of the Yellow Army as it's been 13 good years since the talismanic wicketkeeper-batter has been serving the CSK.

But right ahead of the high-voltage drama between CSK and RR, India's batting great Sunil Gavaskar has a piece of advice for another legend Dhoni. Gavaskar wants Dhoni to promote himself in the batting order as the 41-year-old can still make difference with his blistering knock.

"I am hoping MS Dhoni promotes himself higher in the batting order. So that he gets to play more than two or three overs in the games. He can make that difference for CSK with his batting because he is capable of scoring big runs," Gavaskar told Star Sports.

In total Dhoni has played 213 IPL matches as skipper while featuring for CSK and Rising Pune Supergiants IPL. Dhoni has a winning percentage of 58.96 in those 213 IPL matches as he has clinched victories in 125 matches and has suffered defeats in 87 of them.

Recently in the ongoing IPL's season Dhoni achieved a rare feat of completing 5000 runs. Dhoni, who made his IPL debut in 2008 against King XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) back in 2008, Dhoni joined the elite list of batting juggernauts AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Warner, Rohit Sharma and Raina.

Meanwhile, ahead of Dhoni's 200th appearance as CSK skipper, his partner in crime and team's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja said that the Yellow Army will hope to make this special by winning the match against RR at the home ground of the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

"What can I say, he is a legend of Indian cricket. So, I would like to wish him good luck. Hopefully, in his 200th game, we will win in Chepauk and all the fans will be happy, so that we continue the momentum. Hopefully, we win tomorrow and we give him a gift on his 200th (IPL) match as captain," Jadeja said.
