Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clinched an emphatic 27-run win against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday (May 10) to almost secure the playoff berth as they now sit second on the points table with 15 points in 12 matches.
None of the CSK batters scored more than 25 runs, despite they posted a challenging total of 167/8. In reply, DC ran out of steam and were reduced to 140/8 to suffer another defeat in the ongoing IPL.
Captain MS Dhoni once again lit up the Chepauk Stadium with his power-hitting in the bare minimum balls that he played. Dhoni launched two maximums and a four in his lightning 9-ball 20. But what garnered more limelight was an adorable moment which took place between Dhoni and his daughter Ziva which has left the social media go ‘awwww’ as the video took no time to get viral.
Ziva stormed into the ground during the post match presentation to give his dad a tight hug.

Dhoni's wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva were in attendance at the MA Chidambaram Stadium to support CSK.
Here are the reactions of Twitterati which bombarded the social media walls.
Talking about the match, the Men in Yellow knocked David Warner's men on the doors of elimination while improving their record to seven wins after playing 12 matches. With 15 points, MS Dhoni's men are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs.
Chasing a target of 168 runs, DC batters looked completely out of sorts on a sluggish Chepauk pitch. David Warner was dismissed for a duck on the second ball of the innings and the Delhi-based franchise never recovered after losing their captain early. After dismissing Warner, Deepak Chahar also bagged the wicket of dangerous Phil Salt (17 runs off 11 balls), Manish Pandey (27 runs off 29 balls) and Rilee Rossouw (35 runs off 37 balls) occupied the crease for a substantial period of time but the duo never got going.
For CSK, in-form Matheesha Pathirana was terrific with the ball once again as he bagged three wickets, Chahar bagged two wickets and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with a wicket.
