Sarfaraz speaks

The right-handed batsman has now urged the DC team management to have faith in him as he believes “the day will come” when he will “score in the IPL too.”

“I can do better if someone gives me that confidence and has faith in me. It is the same when no one thought I could play red ball, but I knew I could if I got the opportunity, because I had been working for four-five years on my red-ball game. Similarly, the day will come when I will score in the IPL too,” Sarfaraz Khan was quoted while speaking to The Indian Express.

Previously, Sarfaraz has been a part of Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has been a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise from 2015 to 2018 and later he joined Punjab Kings and was part of the Punjab-based franchise from 2019 to 2021.

In IPL, he has till now played 40 matches and has scored 441 runs at an average of 23.21. His strike rate in Indian Premier League has been 138.24. Sarfaraz bagged one half-century in IPL till now.

In the 2021/22 season of Ranji Trophy he has been in a terrific form as he emerged as the second-highest run-scorer 551 runs, playing just three matches.
