Big blow to Rajasthan Royals despite crushing GT after Vaibhav Suryavanshi's spellbinding century, Sanju Samson to miss MI clash IPL 2025

Sanju Samson's injury concerns continue to pester Rajasthan Royals (RR) going forward in the ongoing India Premier League (IPL) 2025. RR suffered a big blow right after Vaibhav Suryavanshi's record-breaking century helped them registered a phenomenal eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans (GT) as they chased down 210-run target with 25 balls to spare.

Captain Sanju Samson is likely to miss RR's next IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) which is set to be played on May 1 at the Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur.

Sanju Samson sustained an abdominal injury during RR' Super-Over loss to Delhi Capitals on April 16. Consequently, this injury has prevented him from participating in any matches since then. As a result of this, Samson was absent from RR's subsequent fixtures against Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and then Gujarat Titans.

Sanju Samson is still recovering from his abdominal injury and a final call will be taken on April 30 as a fitness test to be conducted to see whether he is match-ready or not.
