Delhi Capitals (DC) take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the Arun Jaitley stadium on April 27.
What did the captains say after the toss?
After winning the toss, RCB captain Rajat Patidar said:
"We will bowl first. The wicket is quite good to bat on and I don't think it's going to change too much and we like to chase. It's our first win at our home and we will try to continue playing good cricket. In every match, we are trying to improve, so we want to keep learning. Bethell has come in place of Salt."
Meanwhile, DC skipper Axar Patel, after losing the toss, said:
"That is an advantage too but if we had won the toss, I think we would have batted only and use the wicket in the second innings. In the last game, there was no dew but in the game against Mumbai, there was some dew. They had two foreign batters so I wanted to bowl against them. I was bowling with a good rhythm, the plan wasn't to bowl four overs in a row but I kept bowling so I continued with it. Faf is back and the impact player we will decide according to the situation."

Pitch Report
"It is 66 metres to end of the boundary and 58mtrs to another end. Down the ground it is 71mtrs. When you come to Delhi, sometimes you get a high scoring belter. But today it is a very very dry surface. Not a lot of live grass on the deck. There was 4.1 degrees of turn in the game versus Mumbai. Not much help for the pacers," Graeme Swann and Aaron Finch analysed the pitch.
DC vs RCB head-to-head
RCB and DC have locked horns with each other 32 times in IPL so far. While RCB have emerged victorious in 19 matches, DC have clinched wins on 12 occasion. Notably, one match ended without a result.
