WATCH: Virat Kohli grooves at M Chinnaswamy stadium during team's practice session ahead of RCB unboxing event

Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has started practising in the nets ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign opener clash against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). IPL 2025 is scheduled to start from March 22 and Kolkata's Eden Gardens will host the tournament opener. 

Before the IPL 2025 opener clash, RCB are scheduled to host an unboxing event at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which will take place on Match 17. This will be the third time RCB will host this event, first held in 2022. A clip of Kohli is going viral on the social sphere where the batting great can be seen dancing while padding up to bat. IPL 2025 will be Kohli's first outing in T20 since the T20 World Cup 2024 final where he announced his retirement from T20Is after India defeated South Africa to win the title. Kohli was last featured in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 where he scored 218 runs in five matches at an average of 54.50. He emerged as the team's second-highest run-getter and overall fifth.
