Following the Vipers' decision to bowl first after winning the toss, Pollard played a crucial role in guiding the defending champions to a respectable total of 159 runs. Joining the crease after the dismissal of captain Nicholas Pooran in the 13th over, Pollard delivered a valuable contribution with a quickfire 36 runs off 23 balls, an innings that included two boundaries and three powerful sixes.

Pollard's second six of the innings, struck off Lockie Ferguson's bowling on the first ball of the 19th over, marked a significant milestone in his career. With this powerful hit, Pollard achieved the remarkable feat of completing 900 sixes in T20 cricket.
