India and Pakistan are set to renew their rivalry on the biggest stage as the two arch-rivals are scheduled to cross swords in the 2023 ODI World Cup at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India boasts a flawless record against Pakistan in matches played in ODI World Cup and, Rohit Sharma & Co. would look to main the unbeaten streak when the two sides meet again during the 2023 quadrennial competition.

The two arch-rivals will also play against each other in the 2023 Asia Cup which is scheduled to take place in September. As fans are excited about watching an India-Pakistan cricket match after nearly a year, former Men in Green all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has made explosive allegations at the Men in Blue.

Razzaq believes that the only reason why India didn't play against Pakistan during 1997-98 was because they always ended up on the losing side.

“We share mutual respect and friendship. There's only Indian team that doesn't play against Pakistan. From 1997-98, they didn't play much against us because we were too good, India always used to lose. Now, situation has changed, we are in 2023, but we have to change our thinking. No team is big or small, the performance on the day matters,” Razzaq told EHCricket, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Razzaq believes both India and Pakistan boast a good squad of players and any team that performs well on the day can end up winning the match.

"Both teams are good. You can't say Pakistan team is weak. You see the Ashes series, can you point out which team is better? The team which performs wins, as simple as that. We have to get out of this and play matches, series against each other," said Razzaq.
