Pakistan Cricket Board has revamped the T20I side after the team's poor performance in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Defending champions and hosts Pakistan's campaign in the eight-team tournament ended without a single win. Pakistan lost their first two group stage matches against New Zealand and India and their third league match against Bangladesh washed out due to rain.
Pakistan are currently preparing for their upcoming white ball series against New Zealand where the Men in Green will play a five-match T20I squad followed by a three-match ODI series. PCB announced their squad for the whole series where senior players including Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah were dropped from the T20Is considering their poor performances.
Pakistan are scheduled to play a T20 National Cup which will start from March 14. The tournament will have 20 teams, which have been divided into four groups, and will have some big players in the form of Pakistan star batter Babar Azam and right-arm pacer Naseem Shah. However, turns out that the two star duo will not be available for the tournament due to a packed international schedule.
