South Africa secured a massive nine-wicket win against India in the third T20I to seal the series. SA's skipper Laura Wolvaardt was the star of the game, while chasing 193 she scored an amazing 53-ball 115 to take an unassailable lead over India in a five-match T20I series.
Despite India's loss in the series, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur managed to create an unique record while batting in the first innings. South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat first. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma got off to a wonderful start amassing 51 runs in the powerplay. Mandhana got back to pavilion after scoring 37 off 25 whereas Jemimah Rodrigues got out on a golden duck. In the 13th over, Shefali Verma notched up her second consecutive half-century.

Big feat for Harmanpreet Kaur in T20Is
In the slog overs, Harmanpreet Kaur took the charge and smashed 66 runs off 38 deliveries with the help of seven fours and three sixes clocking strike rate of 173.68. While guiding India to post 192/4, Harmanpreet completed 3000 runs in T20Is as a captain and became the only captain to with most runs in the format.
Now, Harmanpreet has 3,017 runs in T20Is as a captain in 138 games at an average of 32.79, with the help of 14 half-centuries and one century in the format.
Harmanpreet Kaur's impact in T20Is
Overall, Harmanpreet Kaur stands as the third-highest run-scorer in women's T20Is, amassing over 3,947 runs in 193 matches with a strike rate of 110. The Indian captain has 16 half-centuries and one century in the format.
India will look to go back to winning ways when they meet South Africa again on April 25 in the fourth T20I at the Wanderers Stadium in Sandton.
