There are few personalities whom you can’t hate and India’s head coach Rahul Dravid is surely one of them. Not only on the cricketing field but Dravid has got many fans and well wishers for his off-the-field conduct as well. Now, Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has revealed that despite not being a huge cricket fan she along with her brother used to love watching Dravid’s batting. Richa also recalled how the retirement of the legendary Indian battery made her stop following the game.
“During my younger days, I was not a big fan of cricket. Yes, my brother used to play cricket. There were times when I would watch the game on TV. I loved watching Rahul Dravid play the game. Jab woh phase-out hone lage (When he retired) I literally stopped following the game. My first mohabbat (love) is Rahul Dravid,” Chadha was quoted as saying by Times of India.
Moreover, the actress indicated that she will again start following the game as Dravid is back in the Indian dressing room as head coach.
“I am going to start following the game once again now,” the 34-year-old added.
India clean swept New Zealand by 3-0 in the home series in the very first assignment of Dravid as a full-time head coach just after their poor campaign in the T20 World Cup 2021. The return of India’s former no. 3 in the dressing room may bring back the attention of many vintage cricket lovers like the Bollywood star Chadha.
