West Indies Test all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall grabbed headlines on Thursday for his brilliant 77-ball 205 during an American T20 domestic competition named the Atlanta Open. The opener, known for his ability to smash the ball out of the park, has displayed his batting abilities as an opener in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for finalists Barbados Royals, and in the US, took the bowlers apart with 22 sixes and 17 boundaries on his way to his T20 double hundred.

While discussing the powerful innings, reputed Indian statistician Mohandas Menon tweeted about the carnage on Thursday, pointing out that Cornwall maintained a strike rate of 266.23 throughout the innings while playing for his team Atlanta Fire.

"West Indian Rahkeem Cornwall, while playing for Atlanta Fire, blasted an unbeaten 205 in just 77 balls (SR 266.23) that included 22 sixes and 17 fours in an American T20 competition known as the Atlanta Open. Prize money of $75,000 is available to the winning team," said Menon in his tweet.

The Minor League cricket also shared a tweet showing some of Cornwall's big hits on Thursday and asked the fans if they were thoroughly entertained.

Cornwall recently said that he thinks that his six-hitting is natural and that he is a 360-degree player. "Not really - I haven't done any range-hitting and I think that [six-hitting] is natural. I think I'm strong enough down the ground or any area - [I'm] a 360[-degree] player. So, I just have to focus on shot selection and wait till the ball is in my area to put it away," he said.

"As a player, once you back yourself, failure is going to come and there's no doubt at it. It's just how you bounce back from that failure. Yes, I may hit 11 sixes one day, but on another day, I may get holed out off the first one. So you have to just back yourself as a player and trust your skills and go for what you believe in," said Cornwall.
