'Didn't get much time to practice after the IPL': Ishant Sharma makes massive remark on playing his first Delhi Premier League match

Veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma, who is currently affiliated with Purani Dilli 6 for the ongoing edition of the Delhi Premier League is eager to play his first match in DPL 2024 at the Shri Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi and demonstrate his skills. On Tuesday, Purani Dilli 6 takes on East Delhi Riders, and on Wednesday, it faces West Delhi Lions. Ishant last participated in a white-ball match in the IPL 2024 and is yet to feature in a game for PD.

 

"Preparation for DPL has been good. I didn't get much time to practice after the IPL. Just a little more preparations for my franchise and I'll be ready to take the field in DPL. You all will see me bowling in the coming games for Purani Dilli 6," Ishant Sharma said in a statement during DPL 2024.

Ishant plays a crucial role in DPL, which is of guiding the young players with his experience. The young guns of Purani Dilli 6 are making the most of their stay with Ishant Sharma. He said “My message for young players is to keep working hard and believe in your abilities, this format might be cruel but if trust your abilities and work hard you can do wonders in any format.”

 

“Ishant Sharma brings a wealth of experience to Purani Dilli 6. His guidance and mentorship are invaluable to our younger players. Having someone of his caliber in the squad enhances the learning curve for the entire team. He has been regular in the training session and we are all looking forward to his bowling,” said  Purani Delhi 6's team owner Akash Nangia.
