Legendary Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake was seen bowling at breakneck speeds in a cricket match at Sabina Park last week. In the video, the 33-year-old can be seen bowling a bouncer from around the wicket to a right-handed batter. The well-directed bouncer took the batter by a surprise as he went for a pull but could not get bat on it.

Blake posted a video of the bouncer on his Twitter account with caption: Full video coming soon of me bowling fast under the lights at Sabina Park last night.

Former West Indies pacer Tino Best reacted to the video with fire emojis. Few fans even tagged the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the replies asking the Rohit Sharma-led side to pick him.

Supporting Rajasthan Royals

Blake has been supporting Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals in ongoing edition of IPL. The Royals side features three West Indies players: Jason Holder, Shimron Hetmyer and Obed McCoy. He also posted a photo of him earlier this month before Royals’ first clash of the season.

Support for Indian players

An avid follower of the sport, Blake is a fan of former Indian cricketers VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid. In recent years, he lauded Virat Kohli's captaincy as well as he said, “What I really love about Team India is that Virat Kohli doesn’t find any excuses. That’s what I really love about his captaincy, he took the blame for everything.”

Blake’s records

Blake is the second-fastest man on Earth as he clocked 9.69 seconds in 100 metres and 19.26 seconds in 200 metres. In 2011 the then 21-year-old became the youngest to win a gold medal in World Championships (100m). Blake faded in the background after the arrival of Usain Bolt who broke several records.

Blake’s T20 debut

Blake made his T20 debut on September 26, 2015. He played under the captaincy of Hilary Beckles in a team -- UWI Vice Chancellor's Celebrity XI -- that featured West Indies great Brian Lara, two-time T20 World Cup winner Dwayne Bravo and others. He scored seven runs from eight balls before getting dismissed by Devendra Bishoo.

He bowled an over against WICB President's Celebrity XI which featured Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Carlos Brathwaite, Kieron Pollard, Stafanie Taylor, Jason Holder, Daren Sammy and others. Blake bowled one over and conceded just six runs.
