Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have finally announced the list of their retained players ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The biggest news about LSG's retention was KL Rahul, who has been released from the franchise and will now be seen entering the IPL 2025 mega auction. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran became SRH's top pick when it came to retaining players for IPL 2025. The star wicketkeeper-batter has been retained for Rs 21 crore to become the second most expensive retained player in the IPL history after Heinrich Klaasen, who has been retained by SRH for a whopping Rs 23 crore.

Lucknow Super Giants is one of the newest teams in the Indian Premier League set up alongside former champions Gujarat Titans. They have been part of three seasons so far in the IPL and managed to reach the playoffs in their first two seasons.
