Pakistan star batter Imam-ul-Haq revealed his conversation with Babar Azam where the former Pakistan captain told him that Inndian captain Rohit Sharma has a habit of forgetting things and he kept losing his iPhone and Airpods every now and then during the captain's meet of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Speaking on the Ultra Edge Podcast, Imam was asked what he would do if he woke up as Rohit. The answer will surely leave one and all in splits.
Imam said he would look for his shoes, phone and belt and try remembering everything he did the day before if he woke up as Rohit.
"Oh my God, you haven’t met him, he’s a personality of a different level. He completely forgets where he kept his gloves and bats. Babar tells me about an incident, do you remember there was a captain’s meeting and these guys went on a plane, he had bought a new iPhone and AirPods," Imam said while speaking on the podcast.
"He said we were talking and he first left his iPhone here, then in the plane and then his AirPods every two minutes. Then, he was cursing himself, what am I doing, I keep forgetting things. [Babar] said twice he took his phone saying, ‘Rohit bhai, ye apna phone rakhlein’," Imam said.
Earlier, India star batter Virat Kohli also revealed that Rohit Sharma has a fragile memory and he kept forgetting his iPad, wallet and phone now and then.
Rohit Sharma is currently in Australia leading the side in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 where the series is currently leveled after three matches as India won the first match and Australia won second. The third match at Gabba ended in a draw due to rain. Both India and Australia are currently focussing on the fourth Test match which is scheduled to start from December 24 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne. Both teams look to win this series to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) final which will take place in England next year.
