Story Highlights:

Bhuvneshwar Kumar says he is focused on his game and not worried about national selection.

The veteran pacer played a key role in RCB's title-winning campaign with 28 wickets in 16 matches.

After delivering a strong season with the ball in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, it was expected that Bhuvneshwar Kumar might make his comeback in the Indian T20I setup for the upcoming series against Ireland and England, having played his last game four years back.

However, Bhuvneshwar could not find a place in India's team for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England. Reacting to the situation, the 37-year-old pacer said that he is quite unbothered with the decision taken by the national selectors, as he is focused on his game.

“It’s my nature that I don’t want to show that I want to play. I think everyone is doing their job. Selectors are doing their job. I’m doing my job. It’s their responsibility to select. If they think I’m good enough, they will do their job," said Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

While talking further, the right-arm pacer reflected on his India career, expressing gratitude to get a chance to represent the country for such a long time, as not everyone has this much luck to play for India.

“I have played, I have done what I had to do. If I hadn’t played, I would have been dying to be asked to play a match. I think it’s a big thing to play for India, I won’t say it’s a small thing, I’m one of the lucky ones that I have played," added Bhuvneshwar.
