During the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match between Fortune Barishal and Sylhet Strikers, the superstar of Bangladesh cricket Shakib Al Hasan once again lost his temper and got involved in an extremely heated exchange with the on-field umpire. The incident occurred during the fourth ball of the 16th over of Fortune Barishal's innings bowled by Rejaur Rahman Raja. The right-arm pacer delivered a bouncer from round the wicket and the ball flew over Shakib Al Hasan's head at the striker's end.

The square-leg umpire didn't call it a wide and Fortune Barishal captain completely lost his cool and the anger was conspicuous. The all-rounder screamed and charged at the square-leg official before going head-to-head in a heated exchange. Sylhet Strikers wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim stepped in between and tried to calm Shakib Al Hasan down.

Sylhet Strikers ended up winning a high-scoring thriller by six wickets but it was Shakib Al Hasan who made all the headlines because of his unrestrained anger. The Bangladesh all-rounder has been involved in such instances in the past as well.

Ahead of the ninth season of BPL, Shakib Al Hasan on January 04 (Wednesday) brutally criticised the nation's cricket board for their poor marketing strategy pertaining to the franchise T20 league. The all-rounder gave an example of Bollywood movie 'Nayak' and affirmed that he would fix the problems in one or two months.

"If they made me the BPL CEO, it would take me one or two months to correct everything. You have seen the movie Nayak right? If you want to do something, you can do it in one day," Shakib Al Hasan told reporters.

"I would do the players' draft and auction (on time) and hold the BPL during a free time. We will have all the modern technologies. There will be quality broadcast and home and away venues," Shakib Al Hasan added.
